Science is a collaborative endeavor that crosses geographic and cultural boundaries. The Human Genome Project was completed quickly and cheaply because of collaboration between labs around the world. Today’s students must be taught how to effectively collaborate with their peers both face to face and virtually if they are to be successful in STEM fields. This session will discuss the importance of collaborative projects and demonstrate 5 projects that can be easily incorporated into any STEM classroom: 1. Student generated surveys 2. Class data aggregation and analysis 3. Scientific journal summaries 4. Multimedia lab reports 5. Infographics
